I have been working in graphic design, in various forms, since 1987.

After graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Lighting Design for the Theater, I took a slightly different path and began working in fine art photography. After a few years showing my hand-tinted black and white prints, I found myself working at a weekly newspaper in Baltimore. Next, I worked as an art director at an advertising agency in Charleston, SC for several years, developing everything from political ads to promotion materials for high-end resorts.

In 1999, I struck out on my own. I've been freelancing since then, working with trade associations, a major household appliance company, and a natural pet food company, among others.
